What's New in May?
Feels like summer just snuck up on us and smacked us upside the head. The heat and humidity is already starting to creep up on us.
There are new ospreys in the nest, and they are very noisy. I don’t have any photos of them, but I saw their fuzziness poking over the edge of the nest the other day, and I hear them screaming for fish. I am only a block off of the river, so it is not unusual to see a fish flying overhead in the talons of the osprey. It’s not unusual to see a fish in the yard, too.
All of my yard birds are back and enjoying the bath and dinner that is served up daily in the yard. Saw a flock of spoonbills go over the other night, but I didn’t have my camera and it didn’t look like they landed in the pond next door. I think I will have to go up to the National Seashore and see them before it gets too hot.
Have been working on getting all of my excess jewelry supplies and clay together in order to put it up for sale.
Here’s one of my feeder friends.
Hot Rod Mugs: It’s not too soon to start shopping for Father’s Day! I have several dozen hot rod mugs for the guys in my shop.
Mother’s Day: As many of you know, Blu and I host a countdown to Christmas and Mother’s Day every year. Well, it’s time. The Mother’s Day 2017 Countdown is underway and filled with our artist friends and their beautiful creations.
Pillows: One of my suppliers just offered up a new array of STUFFED pillows that I have plans for. I have done a couple for Mother’s Day and more to come.
