From Pineapples to Depressions, It's all Tropical Here

Volume 17 Issue 5, May 2020

What's New in May?

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms, grandmas, aunts and sisters out there on the Internet and beyond! I hope that you had a peaceful day and were able to enjoy family, even if you were social distancing and getting together digitally. Strange days, indeed.

On the Florida front, there have been some beautiful, cool days with little humidity and lots of cool ocean breezes. These are the days that remind me of why I live here. Of course, we now have a tropical disturbance that, although it will not affect us, it is causing a bit of a panic buying spree that we Floridians are so accustomed to during hurricane season.

It is not even going to rain on us.

While we enjoy the cooler weather, here is a delight that has been at least three years in the making. It is a baby pineapple, and this photo is two months old, but shows all the beautiful purple flowers that come before the fruit. It is now about ready to pick, but still green.

Things to Look Forward To:

New Products:

Posters: I am working on my one word posters and wall hangings. There are also wood blocks to be added.

Loose Beads: I am focusing on making sets of beads again, so look for more beads to show up in my shop. I am not certain about the canes just yet, but I am planning on them for 2020.

Bead Sets: In addition to polymer clay beads, I want to put together complete sets for beading that include complementary beads, as well.
