What's New in April?

Lots of projects coming together. I have been preparing for a large bead contest and that has kept me busy completing projects and designing new ones. I have one more piece to finish and then I am done for 2010. This is my first entry into the Beadstar contest, so we will see what happens!

I have been busy trying to replenish my bead stash, they sell out faster than I can make them sometimes. I put together a couple fairly good sized kaleidoscope canes and put them up for sale. I sold one right away and still have one in stock.

I re-opened my ebay store, they were making some changes to the stores so I thought I would open back up for a couple months and see what happens. It has been over 2 years since I closed the store! Time sure flies.

I did manage to create 26 sets of new beads this month, I have about half of those still available. I stocked back up on the floral rounds and I did 7 sets of larger tab beads (more of a quarter size than a dime) which are perfect for lanyards and such. I will try and get a couple lanyards or bracelets for sale.

www.theseedbeadpatternstore.com has been updated and all the bracelet patterns are up. I have a couple of the tapestries up but have not finished all of those yet. I added a few more wolf patterns and I have added a free pattern section. I will be putting up free patterns on the site.

If you have purchased bracelet patterns from me in the past and did not receive the 10 colour and under updates, please let me know and I will get those to you. I have updated the patterns to make it easier on everyone.

Fans of clip on earrings for big girls will find www.cliponearringsboutique.com restocked with earrings just for them. I added 20 sets of dangles with Swarovski, glass pearls, Czech faceted rounds and lots of iridescent and sparkly things. Also added were one of a kind sets of millefiori glass hearts, diamonds and chicklet beads.

www.x-stitch-patterns.com is still being worked on. It is behind the scenes so there should be no interruption of service.

My spring waterslide decals are now up. I added over 100 new patterns in the waterslide decal section on www.bluemorningexpressions.com

BluPrint Blue Morning Expressions March 10 Newsletter

Volume 7 Issue 3 March 2010

Lots of projects coming together. I have been preparing for a large bead contest and that has kept me busy completing projects and designing new ones. I have one more piece to finish and then I am done for 2010. This is my first entry into the Beadstar contest, so we will see what happens!

I finished the plumeria cane, the photo shows a distorted and elongated sample of it, but the finished one is a nice round petal and since this was an experiment, this is the only one that I have. I can get one chunk out of it for sale and that is it. The blend was created using white and yellow but a added a sliver of orange to it before I started my blend so I would have a distinct orange center.

I am working on a lot of new beads, I am out of stock on a lot of things, so that will keep me busy. I have new canes that I haven’t used yet and I have 4 sets of rounds that are still on the rack that haven’t been bundled and photo’d yet. I was going to use them for additional necklaces. They were created the same time as my tiger beads.

I want to do a lot of new flower canes and kaleidoscope canes, I have been gathering up my clay to start making my blends and my canes and I am looking forward to doing a whole new line of things!

I want to try a lot of new flowers and leaves and use a lot of bright colours. It is spring time and I can’t get enough colour right now!

BluPrint February 2010 Newsletter of Blue Morning Expressions

What's New in February?

Wow! January ended with a whoosh! I put all my loose beads on sale and I sold over 60 sets and they were flying out of here! Of course, now I am scrambling to create new sets for everyone. My tab bead supply is depleted and I only have a handful of my kaleidoscope pillow beads left. I will get more started as soon as I can.

I am working on some new canes as a special order and when they are done, they will be available for sale as well. I was asked to recreate the Plumeria flower in cane format as opposed to the bead format that you normally see. It’s on my workbench now.

I finished a huge piece that I was working on for a contest and here is the preview to that.

Title: The Year of the Tiger

Each of the round beads are created using a tiger skin cane over a base round bead. All of the individual dangles have been hand wire wrapped and the whole piece consists of tiger eye chips and red tiger eye 4mm beads. The Swarovski crystals are 4mm AB and the Jablonex Czech Topaz glass rounds are also 4mm.

Spoonflower is now carrying one of my carousel horse designs on fabric. The black coloured pencil horse is now available on cotton or quilt square.

January 2010 BluPrint Newsletter for Blue Morning Expressions

What's New in January?

Let me start but wishing everyone success and prosperity in the new year. As we look forward, may we all be blessed with insight into what roads we should take to achieve our goals and our desires. May everyone be blessed with friends, family and be surrounded by kind people.

My year ahead looks wonderful as I plan for new adventures and the stretching of learning new techniques, designs and experiments. New pieces will be coming out in magazines and I must complete the book this year.
This set of beads became this completed set of jewelry which is in the process of being photo’d for a gallery piece in a magazine before finding it’s way to the showcase of my website for sale.

I still have one more set of tab beads in this design.

As I clean out old inventory and start to create a lot of newer beads and raw clay canes, I will be putting things up for sale as often as possible. It is entirely possible that I will be offering them up at auction in ebay.

What's New in December?

It is hard to believe that the end of the year is right upon us now and that Christmas is less than a month away. I have done none of my shopping and I have not made my own list and I have not gotten my bead stash out to create new pieces yet. BUT that is going to change!

I have a couple sets of tab beads that I am working on new designs with.
This set is on my work bench now and I am creating a full set using these beads and gemstones. They are slated for a necklace, bracelet and earring set. They will be up for photos before Christmas but before they end up on www.bluemorningexpressions.com, they are scheduled to be submitted to a magazine for showcasing. All goes well, maybe we will see them in a magazine for spring! In the meantime, there is a second set of these beads available for you to purchase to create your own spring ensemble. They are under the bead section in the tab/disk bead category on my website.

New beads are scheduled to be created and added in the next week or so. I am going to try and get some sets done that feature my waterslide decal images. They will be in the bead section.

This necklace set afforded me the title of showcase artist on the Beader’s Showcase website. I was extremely honored that they chose one of my pieces.

There was an issue for awhile with the download site that I use to dispense the patterns upon purchase and I wanted to get that fixed before I continued with the revamping. For the moment, both sites are working but I am afraid I will need to postpone updating until after the first of the year.

I am busy getting more of my items up on www.bluemorningexpressions.com and the Christmas ornaments are up and ready for personalization.

What's New in November?

This piece is an example of one of my original waterslide decals on a handcrafted white polymer clay focal bead that has been beaded with Swarovski crystals and Czech round glass beads. The matching earrings have been wrapped to leverbacks. The piece is currently unavailable for sale as it is going to be submitted to a magazine.







This lanyard is the next one scheduled to be in Polymer Café magazine in the spring readers showcase.

What's New in October?

Check out one of my necklaces in the Polymer Café magazine Black and White challenge! I have another lanyard/watch that will be in the magazine in an upcoming edition as well. Both of these pieces feature my geometry canes. One black and white and the other is a blend of red, white and pink. Both of the remaining raw canes are all sold out.

I have spent quite a bit of time working on new tab beads and managed to get several new sets created. About half of them sold out as soon as I uploaded them. I am trying to find time to get more created. I also want to do some more bead kits with them as the focal on earrings. I keep plugging along!

I added 20 new waterslide decal patterns to the site and I am working on creating the white blank beads to go with those. I have some pretty patterns that will make great earring kits.

I have been working on revising www.x-stitch-patterns.com and upgrading it to a shopping cart site with direct downloads as opposed to running it through payloadz. This way everything stays on site. I added a half a dozen more patterns to the card set. The www.theseedbeadpatternstore.com is the next to get the major upgrade in time for the holidays. I have had a problem with having enough time to get all these things done. I apologize for lagging behind.

Waterslide Decals! Christmas decals will be up soon and I will be adding the Halloween images as well for your holiday bead making. The tab beads will be going up as well. I am doing those in a white cernit for a smooth ceramic look.
