Daffodils and Hot Rods

Volume 19 Issue 3, March 2022

 What's New in March?

Lots of flowers! Okay, not ones that I have made, but one that has the seal of approval from Mother Nature. I was surprised—and delighted—when one of my local box stores had tiny planters with daffodils, tulips, hyacinths and iris bulbs beginning to grow.

As a transplanted Midwesterner with a love of all things West, I have missed the bulbs that normally bloom in the spring. While we have beautiful tropical flowers in Florida, I still long for the pretty bulbs of spring that tickle the memories of my childhood.

I planted all of the above, and much to surprise, they actually grew and bloomed. I planted a dozen daffodils under my Southern Magnolia, which was a bit strange, but beautiful when they were blooming.

The blooms won’t last, but I will try to bag them and replant them next year. From previous experience, this doesn’t work, but I am the eternal optimist. Enjoy my pretty daffodils.

New Earrings:  In addition to fractal earrings, I added some pretty flowers and other colorful beads.

Thimbles: New Christmas and great grandma thimbles, as well as faith-based thimbles with bible verses.

New Book: The Joy of Jewelry Making Create for fun. Sell for Profit is now available on Amazon in both paperback and ebook formats.

You will find all of my beads, canes and finished jewelry on my website. www.bluemorningexpressions.com

Until next month,

Julie
